We have two weekends of The Roundtree's Savor the Hamptons culinary series behind us and many more tasty weekends ahead.
This weekend will showcase a Greek feast from the celebrity chef Maria Loi. Known as the Julia Child of Greece, she is the founder of a lifestyle brand that nurtures a healthy body and soul and melds the inspiration of ancient Greece with a modern approach to the Mediterranean diet. In addition to her namesake Manhattan restaurant, Chef Loi is the author of more than 36 cookbooks and the host of a new show, THE LIFE OF LOI, on PBS. She is also the founder of Loi Food Products, a specialty brand built on traditional ingredients from Greece; her pasta, beans, botanical herbs, refrigerated dips, honey and olive oil are sold on QVC, at Whole Foods Markets and in other stores.
Chef Loi's six-course spread will showcase a bread service with a feta-yogurt pougi and Greek olives, mini spinach and cheese pies with a fig compote, eggplant stuffed with a vegetable medley and a stone bass straight from Greece accompanied by cherry tomatoes and wild greens.
Bronson's Burger's will follow the weekend after, on February 3rd, 4th and 5th. The buzzy burger spot in Nolita has long lines for its satisfying and delicious burgers and shakes made with premium ingredients. Chicken and veggie burgers and sides such as sweet potato fries, truffle parmesan skinny fries and tempura onion rings are among the options too.
