Hamptons Happenings: MET Opera Screenings at the Beach
Whether you’re a fan of opera or not, the idea of watching a screening of a famous performance on a beautiful beach does have dreamy connotations.
Dream no more: Guild Hall and HamptonsFilm are collaborating on “Met Under Moonlight” at Main Beach in East Hampton.
It’s an initiative that showcases three drive-in screenings from the Met’s Live in HD Series: Bizet’s “Carmen” was held on April 3, but you can still catch Puccini’s “Madam Butterfly” at 7:30 p.m. on April 17 and the Gershiwns’ “Porgy and Bess” at 8 p.m. on May 1.
The cost to attend is $80 per car, and tickets can be purchased on Guild Hall’s website.
