Ever since this blog debuted in January, it’s been filled with posts that come from The Roundtree but don’t actually have anything to do with the hotel. Our idea was to have a space that wasn’t about self-promotion but where we could share everything we love about being one of travelers’ favorite hotels in the Hamptons.
Today’s musing is different, and we think the reason is worthy of the break from tradition: Travel + Leisure announced its 2021 It List today, featuring the best new hotels and resorts around the world in the past year, and we snagged a spot!
For those of you who don’t know, Travel + Leisure’s It List is the Grammy or Oscar equivalent in the world of travel. Getting picked is akin to getting that coveted gold statue, and after less than a year of being open, we couldn’t be more humbled or honored.
The list recognizes 72 new or significantly renovated properties globally within the last year and is selected by the magazine’s editors and contributors, who, needless to say, are well-versed on what makes a hotel stay memorable for all the right reasons.
The Roundtree’s general manager, Boby Haryardi, and the rest of our team, including owner Sylvia Wong, have all collaborated to create a setting that embodies unobtrusive luxury. A stay at the hotel, they believe, should be akin to visiting a good friend’s home who has incredible taste and is hospitable while giving you plenty of privacy and space.
We’re thrilled that The Roundtree, Amagansett is a part of Travel + Leisure Best New Hotels and wanted to pause and share our excitement with you.
